Noel McBride Andrews Cup Sporting Development Bursary

The Noel McBride Bursary celebrates the legacy of Jessie and Isabel Andrews by encouraging and supporting primary school girls to engage in regular sporting activities, with a focus on Athletics and Cross Country.

Who can apply?

Open to Years 4, 5 and 6 girls from Andrews Cup Member Schools who actively compete in Andrews Cup sports, including mandatory participation in Cross Country and Athletics.

What Does the Bursary Offer?

A $500 bursary awarded annually (subject to suitable applications) to assist with private coaching, equipment, or costs associated with regional or state-level Cross Country or Athletics competitions.

Key Details

  • Funds must be used within the recipient’s Year 6 season and are reimbursed upon submission of receipts.
  • Applications must include supporting letters from the applicant’s Coach and Andrews Cup Sport Coordinator.
  • The successful applicant will be selected by the Andrews Cup Executive Committee and an independent appointee.
  • The bursary is presented at the Andrews Cup Cross Country Championships in May.

Applications open at the start of Term Four and close at the end of March.
