Somerville House Win 2017 Andrews Cup Cross Country Event

Somerville House Captains Lillian Slatter and Sara Jameson accepted a number of awards on behalf of their team at the recent Andrews Cup annual cross country event. Winning the Ailsa Nicholson Trophy for the aggregate competition, the school also placed in a number of age divisions. Congratulations must also go to Ipswich Junior Grammar School who won the Percentage Trophy just ahead of Clayfield College.

The day was capped off with the inaugural Noel McBride Cup for the Open 3x1km relay. Moreton Bay College was successful in winning a very exciting race, ahead of second placed Somerville House and Ipswich Junior Grammar School in third.

Thank you to Ipswich Grammar School for presenting a lovely venue for the girls to compete, all the school officials and staff for assisting and to St Aidan’s & Ipswich Junior Grammar School for hosting a very successful & enjoyable competition.

Congratulations to all the girls who competed on the day and to the coaches for their dedication and hard work in preparing their teams.
